April 17th—the UCD Confucius Institute for Ireland held the new HSK test. A total of 35 examinees took part in the test comprised of a written examination, levels 2 to 5, and an oral test consisting of HSK (Basic), HSK (Intermediate) and HSK (Advanced). The examinees thought that the test was rational in structure and well-suited in difficulty levels, allowing them a reasonable period of time for completion.
Wang Liming, Dean of the Confucius Institute, said, “the new HSK test places great emphasis on its integration with teaching, giving it potential to be a great help towards Chinese teaching. At this critical moment of promoting Chinese internationally and in depth, the new HSK test will doubtless help push business forward. We will adjust our teaching system in time, on the basis of the careful study of the students’ records and consideration of examinee feedback.”
